NORTHCOTE PADDY'S MARKET A "Paddy's Market" was held in (lie hotel grounds at Northcotc on Saturday to raise funds for tho local Welfare League, and was opened by Mr. A. Harris, M.P. Farnsworth; sewing, Mrs. N. Davidson, Mrs. A. Beck; shooting gallery, Mr. J. F. Potter; darts, Mr. D. C. Adamson; "balancing the budget," Air. A. E. Hicks.

The awards *of Nurse Clements, of Auckland, in the baby show were:—Under one year: Raymond Ambler, months, 161b., 1. Under three, years: George Shelley, 14 months, 281b., 1. Miss Clements also presented the prizes. An exhibition was giren by the Girl Guides under Captain Doreen Harrison.
