Therefore not a tax on bicycles ? Supposing ' a t/ of say 2s 6d per annum were, levied on each machine, the revenue resdtine f rn 160.000 machines would be ap^roximatfJ 11 £20,000. quite a respectable and useful sum, that in the present hard times could be made splendid use of in various ways An annual lax of 2s 6d would amount to 2£-d per month, or a trifle over a half penny per week !
