ACTIVITIES AT EPSOM. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Epsom Methodist Church was held on Thursday evening. The Rev. E. D. Patchett presided, the. occasion marking the. commencement of (ho second year of h:s ministry. Mr. Patchett reporter! (hat there had been a steady increase in membership, principally owing to transfers from other circuits. A total of 41 had joined the, fellowship of the church.
The election of officers for the year resulted in (he re-election of of those ill office with the addition of Messrs. JL J. Ben vis, W. M. Simpson and R. Litherland as society stewards; Messrs. .1. Farlatid, A. Hall and S. Litherland as assistant-stewards; Mr. J. I/. M. Kdwards. Mrs. Matthews and Mrs. Patterson, as members' representatives to the quarterly meeting; and Mrs. Kirkpatriek. Sunday School representative. A musiral programme was given during the evening.
