YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—Fine weather with a cloudy sky and close humid conditions prevailed yesterday. The wind was very light and variable. The barometer continues high and registered 50.15 last night. Wellington.—The weather was fine, yesterday with a good deal of sunshine. 'lh fl wind was from the south. Christchurch.—Conditions were cool and cloudy, following showers in the early morning and there was a fresh breez# from the north-east. The maximum temperature was 59 degrees. The barometer fell a few points during the day, but was rising again in the evening and re* glstered 30.20 in.' Dunedin. —The weather was bright and sunny yesterday morning, but cloudy in the afternoon. A light breeze from th§ south-west was blowing. The baromelef was fairly steady and registered 30.20iiu in the evening.
