WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS.

HARBOUR SWIMMING RACE. YACHT SQUADRON'S CONTEST. An interesting programme of sports fixtures has been arranged for the week-end. Further series of cricket matches will be conducted to-day by the Auckland, Suburban and Girls' Associations. The Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's C ans D grade competitions will be continued. The many bowling rinks in the city and suburbs will be in full swing. Another interesting event is the Auckland pro■vincial croquet championship. The Auckland and Akarana Golf Clubs will open their seasons this afternoon, when Canadian mixed foursomes will be played by the former club. A medal handicap will be conducted by the Titirangi Club and a medal match by the Maungakiekie Club. The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron is holding its annual race to Te Ivouma, near Coromandel. The annual regattas of the Takapuna Boating Club and the Otahuhu Sailing Club will take place. Races will be held at Panmure Basin by the Auckland Outboard Racing Club. Events have also been arranged by the Manukau Cruising Club and the New Zealand Power-Boat Association. The North Shore Swimming Club's annual harbour race of one and a-quarter miles for the Morgan Cup • will bo held this afternoon. A 50yds. race will be held by the Ponsonby Club at the Shelly Beach Baths. Splendid programmes are being provided at the city and suburban picturetheatres, and cabarets cater for danco patrons.
