OVERSEAS LEAGUE.

The Auckland branch of the Overseas League opened its winter programme with a social evening, held in Die club rooms. There was a large attendance of old and new members. i\lr. F. E. do Guerrier presided. Reference was made to the proposed activities for the coming year, which include the formation of study, dramatic and social welfare circles. The branch also maintains an information bureau to answer inquiries about vNew Zealand from Overseas League members in other parts of the. world. During the evening a musical programme was enjoyed, which included songs by Mrs. Le Petit, Miss Nellie Dykes and Mr. Arthur Thompson, and recitations bv Mr. Dennis Johns.
