Attention is focussed in Parliamentary circles on the question of an increase in wages tax to provide further unemployment finance.
The earlier suggestion of an increase from threepence to a shilling in the pound may prove to be unduly pessimistic, and possibly an increase to sixpence will bo tlie limit of tho new demand.
