ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
SEVEN LIFE MEMBERS

The first annual meeting of the New Zealand Brass Bands' Association was held to-day. Mr. H. D. Bennett presided. The following officers were elected : —President, Mr. Bennett; vice-presidents, Captain T. Herd, Captain G. Buckley, Messrs. T. F. Hall, B. B. Head, P. Skoglund, C. Davie; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. G. Osborne; executive committee, Messrs. C. Patchett, H. J. Hall, T. Goodall, W. P. Maclachlan, H. Sweney, A. G. Homer, R. J. Est all. C. G. Baker, W. Belcher and R. J. Young.
In recognition of past services to the band associations throughout New Zealand. the following were elected life members: —Dr. H. T. J. Thacker. taptain T. Herd, Lieutenant W. Y. Siddal, Messrs. J. Crichton, \V. S. King, \).. Jupp and M. Cohen.
