YOUTH FOUND DEAD.
BODY IN WATER-RACE.
[bv telegraph.—press association.] MASTERTON, Friday.
A lad aged 17, Gordon Donovan, employed on the farm of Mr. John Stringfellow at Greytown, was found dead in a. water-race close to the homestead. It woidd seem that he got, up out of bed in (he night and on going outside was seized with a fit. He had suffered from frequent fits.
It is surmised that the lad fell face downwards in 3in. of water. Dr. Berney said death must have occurred as the youth fell, as the usual symptoms of death by suffocation or drowning were not present.
