In 1698 Richard Bradshawe left a Sum of money to provide bread each Christinas- for parishioners both rich arid poor. He directed also that the incumbent should receive a guinea for preaching a crmon about bread. The [vicar, the Rev. Allen Hay, has preachid more than thirty of the sermons, I and sonsequently he has sometimes ltd to use the same text.
