NORFOLK ISLAND.
WINTER STEAMER SERVICE.
Definite advice has been received by the local office of Burns, Phiip and Company, Limited, that the steamer Morinda will bo retained in the Sydney-Norfolk Island-Auckland passenger and cargo service, and the winter time-table has been arranged. The service will continue as before, the steamer proceeding periodically from Sydney to Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island, New Hebrides, Norfolk Island and Auckland. She will return to Sydney from Auckland via Norfolk Island.
According to the new time-table t' lo Morinda will call at Auckland on March 10, April 18, May 23, June 27. August 1 and September 5. Norfolk Island i» an ideal winter resort ancl is only three days' steam from Auckland. Since the company has been running this new service from Auckland Norfolk Islam! has become increasingly popular' with touiists from New Zealand. Anyone returning from Sydney to New Zealand, via Norfolk Island, if they dul not wish to make the trip to the-New Hebrides, could stay «t Norfolk Island tot ten days until the Morinda returned to pick them up for Auckland, thus affording them a restful holiday. This service affords Zealand ists an opportunity of combining a to Norfolk and Lord Howe Islands wit visit to Sydney for the opening 01 harbour bridge.
