TRANSPORT CONTROL.
THE CENTRAL AUTHORITY. The Central Licensing Authority, set up under the Transport Licensing Act, met in Auckland yesterday afternoon, Mr. S. S. Allen presiding. A licence was granted* to Mr. J. P. Robinson for a service from Kawhia to Hamilton, on the conditions that the present time-table and fares were retained, no passengers were set, down or taken up between Hamilton and Te Awamutu, and a satisfactory schedule of fares charged was supplied. Applications concerning routes from Auckland will be "heard this morning from 9.30.
