MAN'S BODY RECOVERED.

TRACK CUT THROUGH BUSH. IDENTITY NOT DETERMINED. The body of the man found on Tuesday in thick bush on Corcoran's Ridge, near. Exhibition Drive, Titirangi, has not yet been identified. Tho remains were brought to Auckland by a police party yesterday aiternoon. To convey the body from the point where it was found it was necessary to cut a track for two chains through the bush, and the police were engaged in the vicinity for several hours. It is presumed the man's death occurred some three weeks ago. The police hope to establish identity from the marks of a jeweller on tho case of a watch found in the man's clothing. A razor was found about 14ft. from the body. There were signs of ferns having been used as a bed and a black felt hat was found on a branch of a tree. The clothing comprised a brown coat and waistcoat and trousers of a darker shade. A pipe, a tobacco pouch, 9s Id in money, and a watch and chain were found, the chain being fastened to the waistcoat by safety pins. The boots were of size 8.
