QUEEN CARNIVAL.
MORRINSVILLE. A most enjoyable bridge party in aid of til© Red Queen (Miss P. Bendy), was lield at the residence of Mrs. F. Hawkins, on Saturday evening. Although the weather was not favourable, there was a large attendance and the funds of the Red Queen will be considerably augmented. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. A. Needham, Mr. and Mrs. IT. B. Morton, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. E. Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. J. Bain. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Douglas, Mr. and Mrs. S. F. King, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. P. Petry, Mr. and Mrs. L. Echlin, Mesdames Boles, Hodges, N. Howie, H. Howie, Turner and E. Gummer, Misses F. Hawkins, Cargill, B. Colson, Humphreys, 0. Colsori, E. Hammond, Holl, Williams, Walters, T. Skinner, Hewitt, P. Bently and Brock, Messrs J. Mackay, B. O'Brien. J. Hawkins, J. O'Brien, E. O'Brien, F. Dickenson, A. J. Skinner, C. Colson and F. Hopkins.
The ladies' prize was won by Mrs. N. Howie and the gentleman's lav Mr. A. Needham. The hidden number was won by Miss Skinner.
