HOME-BREWING OF BEER.
OPPOSITION OF CHURCH. APPEAL TO METHODISTS. [RY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday. The Methodist Conference received deputations to-day from the Bible-in-Schools League and the New Zealand Alliance. Both deputations were assured of continued support from the Methodist Church. The conference subsequently passed a resolution declaring its opposition to the liquor traffic. The resolution called upon Methodists among other things to oppose "the growing custom of the home-brew-ing of beer."
