PRESENTATION.
Presentations of a pair of New Zealand travellings rugs and a clock suitably inscribed were made by the city engineer, Mr. J. Tyler, to Mr. T. Pearce, at a, gathering of employees of th e city engineer's department. Mr. Pearce, who wa» foreman of the department, and had been connected with many of the council's engineering activities, including the construction of the Nihotupu dam, has retired on superannuation.
