FIVE PEOPLE INJURED.
CARS COLLIDE AT CORNER. WOMAN ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL.
Five people were injured in a collision which occurred between two motor-cars at the intersection of Park Road and Khyber Pass Road early on Saturday evening. Four were able to return to their homes afteii treatment, but Mrs. Emma Watkins, aged' sp, of 9, Peach Parade, Remuera, the driver and only occupant of one of the cars, received concussion and was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. Her condition last evening was not serious. Tie second car. ;i three-seater model, which was carrying three brothers, Messrs. William, Joseph and Thomas Mana and also Mrs. William Mana, of Pukiikohe, was being driven down Khyber Pass and it. came into violent collision with Mrs. Watkins'* car, which was moving from Kfivber Pass into Park Road. Both cars were seriously damaged and au electric switch box on the footpath was knocked down. The St. John Ambulance took the five people to the Auckland Hospital. Mrs. Watkins was immediately admitted but the other four received only minor injuries.
