MINISTER'S EARLY START.
FIVE O'CLOCK IN MORNING.
HON C. E. MACMILLAN'S ENERGY
/There must be few people in New Zealand who can claim with the new Minister of Agriculture, Hon. C. E. Macmillan, that they perform three hours' work before breakfast. Mr. Macmillan has chosen the quietest time of the day to attend to his routine duties. Always a busy man, he has consistently worked early in the morning, and he confesses he is getting back into his oil habits by starting at five in the morning and putting in three hours' work before breakfast.
Tho effect of Macmillan's early morning working camo as a surprise to his office staff on the first day last week. A huge pile of papers for signing had been left on the Minister's desk. By the time tha staff arrived next morning everything was done, and the Minister was ready to attend to other matters.
