NIGHT DIVE INTO RIVER.

RESCUED BY YOUNG WOMAN. REFUSAL TO GIVE NAME. Plunging into the Yarra River at Melbourne on February 6, a young woman rescued Mrs. Olive Myers, aged 50 years, who was in danger of being drowned. The rescuer, refusing to give her name, drove away in a motor-car, leaving Mrs. Myers in the care of other Mrs. Myers was taken to hospital suffering from shock. The rescued woman, it is believed, was suffering from loss of memory. She told the police that she remembered walking along the river bank, but she did not know how she entered the water. About halfpast eight o clock her cries were heard. The woman who -rescued her left a motorcar which was about to cross the bridge, and, removing only her overcoat, plunged into the water. She brought Mrs. Myers to the bank.
