COST OF LIVING ACT.
BAKERS URGE REPEAL. STATUTE REGARDING TRUSTS. [by telegraph.—press association.] PALMERSTON NORTH. Frida.fr. The New Zealand Master T3ake.rs' Conference passed the following resolution to-day: "The delegates urge upon the Government the 'desirability of immediately repealing the Commercial Trusts Act and the Cost of Living Act supplementary thereto. In support of the request delegates respectfully point out that the Cost of Living Act is acknowledged as being purely a war measure, apart from which fact it is maintained that the Government. has ample powers to deal with matters as provided for under both Acts, the repeal of which is now urged." The conference decided to extend invita tions for the next federal conference of representatives of Australia and New Zealand, to bo held in the Dominion in 1935.
