FORMER KING DEAD.

FRIEDRICH OF SAXONY. DETHRONED IN 1918. (Received February 19, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON", Feb. IS. The death has occurred of the ex-King Friedrieh August 111. of Saxony. The ex-King Friedrieh August of Saxony was born at Dresden on May 25, 1865, the son of King George of that State. Ho succeeded to the throne on October 15, 1904, and was dethroned on November 13, 1918. He was married in November, 1891, to Archduchess Louise, daughter of the Grand Duke Ferdinand of Tuscany. In 1902 she eloped with her child's tutor, a Belgian named Giron. The ex-King (then Crown Prince) divorced her on February 11, 1903, and her title, was reduced to that of Countess Montignoso. The eldest son of Friedrieh August is George, born in January, 1893. He entered upon a military career and fought in the Great War, subsequently resigning with the rank of lieutenantcolonel. Ho then studied at the Tubnigon and Breslau Universities, became interested in theology and on July 15, 1924, became a Jesuit priest in the Saxon village of Trebnitz. Later he took his quarters in the Jesuit cloister at teldLirch, Austria.
