TENNIS TEST MATCH.
AUSTRALIANS' SUCCESS. YESTERDAY'S GAMES WON. (Received February 19, 11.15 p.m.) SYDNF.Y. Feb. 19. The tennis test match between Australia and Japan was continued to-day. In the singles llopman beat Nnnoi (Japan), 2—6, 6—2, 6—3; Sproulo beat Harada (Japan), 6—4, 6-3; Crawford beat Satoh (Japan), 6—4, I—6, 6—3. In tho doubles. liopman and Spronle beat Harada and Nunoi, 6—4, 5—7, 6—4. The total points to dafo are: —Australia, six rubbers, 13 sets, 103 games; Japan, two rubbers, eight sets, 90 games. The test match will be concluded to-morrow. Critics declare that Satoh s speed against Crawford today was never eclipsed in first-class tennis in Austialia. He had the great crowd of spectators greatly excited.
