NEW FLOATING DOCK.
TOWED TO OTHER MOORINGS. USE OF HEAVY STEEL BOOMS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. Wellington's floating dock was towed this morning from its temporary moorings •at the Thorndon breastwork to its permanent abode near Kaiwarra. New heavy moorings have been provided to replace those which some weeks ago, on the arrival of the dock, proved unequal to the task of holding it, and no difficulty should be experienced in connecting the dock to its wharf with the big steel booms.
