BENEFIT AT MOTUIHI. GRATITUDE OF HAWKE'S BAY. [r,Y TELEGRAFH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER, Friday. The wonderful work of the Auckland Community Sunshine Association in taking charge of a further party of children from the earthquake area, and extending to them the advantages of several months at the sunshine camp 011 Motuihi Island, was referred to by the chairman, Mr. G. A. Maddison, at a meeting of the Hawke's Bay Education Board this morning. On the motion of the chairman the following motion was carried"This board records its deep sense of gratitude to the Community Sunshine Association of Auckland for its generous action in taking 90 children from this district, and in maintaining them in the health camp on Motuihi Island. The bo'ard is deeply appreciative of the kindly thought which has prompted this action and the association's remembrance of the people of this district, and especially of its remembrance of the children in the time of trials and difficulties through which tliey are still passing as the result of the disastrous earthquake. The board also congratulates the association on its fine public spirit and on its true Christian charity, and wishes to assure it that its kindness to the chicken and its work on their behalf will anvays bo remembered with deep thankfulness by the citizens of Hawke's Bay."
