SWEET PICKLE.
Four lb. marrow, lib. apples, lilh. onions, 4'h brown sugar, ljoz. mustard, »,oz. turmeric, two pints vinegar, joz. mixed spice, one tabespoonful of flour. Cut the marrow in cubes, sprinkle with salt and let it stand for 12 hours. Strain off and put in a saucepan with sugar, apples, onions and vinegar and boil for 45 minutes. Make a paste with a little cold vinegar, mustard, flour, turmeric and spice, and add- it to Ihe boiling mixture, cooking same for about 10 rqinuies or until it thickens. . . Placed in pickle jars when cool, it is roady for immediate use if desired.
