ANNIVERSARY REGATTA.
DISMISSAL OF PROTESTS, j Two protests in regard to races held on j Anniversary Regatta Day were dealt with ; by the sailing committee last evening. In I the race for class T Meteor protested j against Resolute and Ola 11. as the result , of a collision, and Ransi protested against j Desert Gold or. the grounds of her using a j jib not complying with the regulations, j Both protests were dismissed. With reference to the protest by JJeteor it was decided that the explanation of the owner of Resolute why he did not report on the touching of the Ola be accepted, and that the owners be cautioned on the necessity of reporting a foul. ======= j
