MAN'S FACE SLASHED.

WOMAN BEFORE COURT. ALLEGATION OF ASSAULT. The discovery by a constable of a man, Lewis Stock, bleeding freely front a ga&h in the face in a garage at Kingsland on Thursday evening had a sequel in the Police Court yesterday, when Isabel Maxwell, alias Field, aged 35, was charged with assaulting Stock so as to cause him bodily harm. Detective-Sergeant Kelly said Stock had been removed to the Auckland Hospital. Ho had apparently been slashed across the face with a razor and it was alleged accused was responsible. Accused was remanded for a week.
