DUTIES OF INSPECTORS. In view of (he difficult state of the public finances, tho Takapuna Borough Council decided at. a special rrieoi.ing in committee on Wednesday night to effect administra!ivc economies. The Mayor, Mr.-J. Ouinivcn. reported last evening that, il had been decided to dispense wi h the services of the present traffic inspector. Mr. C. Wheeler. JI is duties were to be taken over by the building, plumbing and drainage inspector, Mr. H. Collins. An annual saving of £l7O would tbus be effected.
