OPERATIONS AT WAIHI. [BY TEt/EGB ATH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WAIEI, Thnrsd&y. The following information has been cabled to the Loudon office of the Waihi Goldmining Company, Limited No. 10 level—Martha lode, Brook's stoping block: At 66ft. up we have commenced driving east from the block. The first 41ft. is of no economic value, but in the next 63ft. some 'sulphide ore is showing. Grand Junction, No. 6 level:—Vein situated at 38ft. in north crosscut: The next 13ft. driving west is of lit!lo or no vaiue, and driving is suspended. Driving .eastward, the first 19ft. assays 20s 3d per ton. No. 10 intermediate level in Junction area: - Driving west on the Republic lode, the next 23ft, assays 43s 9d per ton. One hundred and three feet reef in Junction arefl: Crosscut south at 110 ft. was driven a total of 68t't. and stopped. Nothing of importance was met with.
