OPERATION SUCCESSFUL. TROUBLE IN LEFT EYE. (Received February &, 6,5 p.m.) British Wireless. HUG BY. Feb. 3. A bulletin issued to-night, _ signed by Mr. D. Elder, oculist, and Sir Thomas Horder, physician, says an operation on | the Prime Minister's left eye -was per- 1 formed successfully at 6 p.m. It is anticipated that Mr. MacDonaid -will remain in tbe nursing home about ten days. He intends to go to Geneva at the earliest possible moment. Mr. MacDonaid has received messages of sympathy and good wishes from the King and Queen, also from the German Chancellor, Dr.. Bruening.
