WOMEN'S INSTITUTES.
Wellsford. —The annual meeting was. Leld recently in the Wellsford Hail, the following officers beine elected: —Mrs. Heywood, president: Mrs. Cuipan and Mrs. Morrison, vice-presidents; Mrs. Dubi. secretary and treasurer: Mrs. Leslie, assistant secretary: Mrs. S. Smith. Mrs. Coop. Mrs. Henson and Mrs. Scmdler, committee. Solos by Mrs. Harris were very much enjoyed. Members were the guests of the retiring committee at afternoon tea. W&itakaruru. —The annual meeting was held in the local hall recently, the following officers being elected: —Mrs. N. Hedges, president : Mrs, Laing and M:ss G. Williams, vice-presidents; Mrs. G. Cornell, secretary: Miss Elliott, assistant,secretary: Mrs. J. Mitchell, treasurer: Mrs. Burdus. Mrs. X. Hedces. Mrs. Laing. Mrs. s Connell. Mrs. J- Mitchell. Mrs. J. Camming, Mrs. J. Godkin. Mrs. T. Burling, Mrs. C. H. Peters, Mrs. D. Stewart, Miss Elliott. Miss E. McPhearson and Miss G. Williams, committee. A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring president. Mrs. C. A. Hsyward. for her services during the past year. The hostesses were Mrs. W. ? tret ton, Mrs. F. St.retl.on, Miss G. Williams and Miss «T. Williams.
