The district executive of the Women's Christian Temperance Union met this week in the Temperance Boom, Unity Buildings. Mrs. Kasper presided ever a good attendance of members. The following ladies were also present: —Miss A. McLay. organiser. Miss Hume, a visitor from Canada, and Mrs. F. Kasper, of Warß worth. It was decided to send a letter of protest to the Council of Christian Congregations agpjnst the sale and supply of benzine by service stations on Sundays. It* was decided also to circulate a district letter to all branch unions, urging members to refuse to take part in any art union or in any other form of gambling. A " School of Methods " committee was formed for the purpose of giving instruction and help to all the unions in t"he carrying on of the year's work. Mrs. Kasper, president, was appointed to represent the district as delegate at the Dominion convention, to be held nest month in WanganuL
