FAREWELL PARTY.
To bid farewell to Miss Maude Clarke, a member of the North Shore Company of Chi Guides, who is leaving to-day hv the Ulimaroa with a party of six other Guides from Auckland, to visit Foxlease, the Girl Guide home :tj England, a social evening was held at the paiish hall at Dei onport on Wednesday. On behalf of the committee Miss Clarke was presented with a travelling clock suitably inscribed, and the Guides also presented her with a leather hat bos. The evening was spent in playing frames and competitions. Sapper was served by the ladies' committee.
Among- those present were Mrs, J. Percival, Mrs. Kercber, Mrs. Gooding. Mrs. Lee. Mrs. Beaumont, Mrs. Watts. Mrs. Richardson, Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Charlton.
