ARBITRATION COURT.
SESSION NEXT WEEK. HEAVY LIST OF CASES. The first Auckland session of the Arbitration Court for 1532 will open in the Supreme Court buildings next Thursday. Mr. Justice Frazer will preside and associated with him will be Mr. W. Cecil Prime, assessor for the employers, and Mr. A. L. Monteith, employees' assessor.
A large amount of business will come before the Court, and it is expected that the session will last three weeks. There are a particularly large number of claims for compensation, 35 cases being set down for hearing. Industrial matters comprise a comparatively small part of the list. There arc two industrial disputes, Auckland Tallymen's Industrial Union v. Union Steam Ship Company, Limited, and others, and Auckland Abattoir Assistants and Freezing Workers Union v. the Auckland City Council.
