ADVICE BY MR. COBBE. I here arc many linos of groceries manufactured in the Dominion which compare favours lily, both as regards quality and price, with similar goods imported from overseas," stated tho Hon. J. G. Cohbe, when addressing the conference of the Now Zealand Master Grocers' Federation in Wellington. "Tho members of your federation have it in their power to push the sale of such New Zealand products, and I hope that your members will co-operate with our manufacturers by inducing Hip purchasing public, to exercise a definite preference in favour of tho locallv made article," lie said.
"From the point of view of public welfare, it is essential that the people should be educated and constantly reminded of the merits of New Zealand goods, and as to tho advantages to tho gained from pursuing a definite policy of purchasing them on every possible occasion."
