YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.
Auckland.—Light rain set in yesterday afternoon, following a dull and showery morning, and continued throughout the evening. The wind was light from the north. The barometer was steady in the evening at 29.85 in. Wellington.—Warm rain fell yesterday but there was some sunshine between the middle of the morning until early in tha afternoon. The evening was humid.
Christchurch. —The weather was sultry with a fresh breeze from the no'rtb-east. The thermometer registered ,78 degrees. The barometer continued to fall, the reading in the evening being 29.39 in. Dunedin. —The weather was fine and pleasant in the morning but unsettled and threatening in the afternoon, an overcast sky bringing light intermittent rain. A fresh breeze from the south-east wai blowing. The barometer showed litlJ# movement and registered 29.55 in.
