FARM HAND INJURED.

STRUCK BY STACKER

FRACTURE OF THE SKULL

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WHAKATANE, Wednesday.

A middle-aged farm hand, Mr. Pe'.er Donnelly, met with a serious accident while haymaking on Mr. D. L. Murray's property at Thornton to-day. The breaking of a rope caused the stacker to fall, striking Mr. Donnelly and fracturing his skull. He was taken to Whakatanc Hospital. His condition is reported to be serious.

The injured man came from Ireland a few years ago, and has been employed by Mr. Murray for two years.
