ARBITRATION SYSTEM.
CRITICISM BY FARMERS. • COMPULSORY CONCILIATION. [BY TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION".] W ELLINGTON, "Wednesday. Discussion took place at. the meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Farmers' L T nion to-day on the Arbitration Act, in the course of which one member expressed the view that the Court should be abolished. Others thought that the arbitration system should be retained, but that the restrictions which had crept into the working of the Court should be removed.
The executive reaffirmed its attitude that compulsory conciliation and optional arbitration should operate, and decided that strong representations should be made to the Government to give effect to this legislation.
