DOUBLE TRAGEDY.
MAN AND WIFE SHOT. A MELBOURNE DISCOVERY. (Received January 20, 11.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 20. David McKenzie, aged 56, and his wife, Margaret McKenzie, aged 53, were found dead in bed, shot in the head, in a fashionable house at Elwood. It is believed to be a case of murder and suicide. A pistol was found at McKenzie's side. He had recently bought the weapon. The couple were in good financial circumstances and were devoted to each other. The motive is a mystery.
