PETER PAN'S MARRIAGE.
A man, who as an orphan boy inspired Sir James Barrie's "Peter Pan," is to be married, states a London writer. He is Mr. Peter Llewellyn Davies, the publisher, and his bride-to-be is the Hon. Margaret Hore-Ruthven, one of the popular twin daughters of Major-General Lord Ruthven, Governor of Guernsey, and Lady Ruthven. Mr. Davies is a godson of Sir James Barrie, and one of the five orphan boys to whom "Peter Pan" was dedicated. The boys were the sons of Mr. Arthur Llewellyn Davies and his beautiful wife, tlie sister of Sir Gerald du Maurier. Sir James met the boys in Kensington Gardens and often played with them. After their parents died they became his wards, and inspired some of his greatest work. George, the eldost (who was killed in the war), became David in "The Little White Bird," and "Mary Rose" was the result of a challenge by Michael, his brother, to write "something eerie." Michael was drowned while an undergraduate at Oxford. Five years ago (he youngest of the brothers. Nicholas, was married and "Peter Pan" was the best man. Miss Hore-Ruthven's twin sister is Mrs. John L. Barran.
