TILL AND SAFE RAIDED. SEAMAN SENT TO GAOL. fBY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHBISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A seaman, Frederick Charles Dandy, aged 29, pleaded guilty in the Police Court at Lyttelton to-day to charges of stealing £27 from the Empire Hotel and attempted fraud by means of a valueless cheque. The police said that accused, while a boarder, raided the till of the bar and the safe at the hotel. Accused was sentenced to nine months' hard labour.
