SECONDARY SCHOOL CADETS
CHALLENGE SHIELDS AWARDS The North Island Challenge Shield presented by the Press, Christchureh, for competition among secondary school cadet battalions, was won by A Company, 2nd Cadet Battalion, Hauraki Regiment (Rotorua High School), for the second year in succession. The runner-up was B Company, 2nd Cadet Battalion, Hauraki Regiment (Matamata High School). The South Island bhield was wort by A Company, 41 h Cadet Battalion, Canterbury Regiment (Christchureh Technical College). Cash prizes of £lO are also awarded.
