BONES IN FIRE ASHES. SCOTLAND YARD'S HELP. IDENTITY OF DEAD MAN. 'By Telegraph-—Press Association—Copyright. (Received December 29, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. Dec. 29. The remains of a large fire, were found on November 19 by a shecpfarmer in the Lake Ranges, near Bungendore, 40 miles trom Goulburn. An examination of the ashes disclosed some bones, apparently human. ( lose by were the barrel of a gun partly melted, a watch and a small key. Intensive inquiries by the police extended to London, where Scotland Yard traced tile makers of the key and its Australian destination. 1 his discovery and research work bylocal scientists resulted in the establishment of the identity of the bones as those of Sidney James Morrison, aged 21, a former resident of Bondi, Sydney. Inquiries are now proceeding in an effort to discover bow the young man met bis death.
