NORTHCOTE MOTOR ACCIDENT.
Sir, —The motor accident at Northcote on Saturday afternoon occurred in Onewa Road, opposite the Presbyterian Church, not Queen Street. The report makes it appear that my daughter (Miss Trist) was responsible for the happening, but such was not the case. The horse did not shy. The motor-car skidded on the loose metal, crashed into the wall and overturned on the footpath. My daughter, who was on her proper side ot' the road, narrowly escaped being struck by pulling up the horse sharply. The crash of the car striking the bank and the breaking of the glass when it overturned frightenerl the horse, which then ran away, but my daughter pulled it up after going s short distance. W, A. Trist.
