CHRISTMAS AIR MAIL.
SOUTHERN STAR'S FLIGHT. DEPARTURE FROM SINGAPORE. (Received December G, 5.5 p.m.) SINGAPORE, Dec. 5. Air-Commodore Kingsford Smith, who is proceeding to Alor Star in the relief monoplane Southern Star, spent tho night hero and left for Alor Star at 6 a.m. today. Owing to the softness of the ground due to rains between Singapore aud Rangoon and tho consequent difficulty of taking off with a heavy load, ho will probably divide the Southern Sun's Christmas mail and make two trips from Alor Star to Rangoon, after which no trouble is expected.
