WORKMEN INJURED.
ROCK FALLS IN QUARRY. Two men were injured by a fall of rock, one of them seriously, when working in the City Council quarry in Normanby Road, Mount Eden on Saturday morning. Mr. Bennett Hart, aged 49, of 42, Bright Street, Eden Terrace, was struck on the head, and also received lacerations of the arms and hands. Mr. T. Kneebone, of Gundry Street, Newton, received bodily lacerations. The injured men wero taken to hospital by tho St. John Ambulance. After receiving attention, Mr. Kneebono was sent home, but Mr. Hart was detained at the hospital. His ■ condition last evening was reported io be satisfactory.
