GOLD IN THE MOUNTAINS.
The inhabitants of Dolgelley are the most hopeful people in Wales. Many of them are unemployed, and some of them have not enough to eat, yet they talk of the time when they will be rich beyond the wildest dreams of avarice. How much, gold lies locked in the Dolgelley hills? "As much as would pay the National debt twice over, I'll be bound!" an old gold-miner said lately. He knows every inch of the hills about his native town. Engineers from London, together with old Welsh goldminers. are searching for evidence to prove the existence of considerable quantities of gold in the mountains.
