CONTROL board meeting. EXTENSION OF THE SEASON. PROTEST BY Y.M.C.A. CLUB. A protest agninst the Auckland Football Association's decision to extend the season until October 24 was received from the Y.M.C.A. Club at' last evening's meeting of the control hoard. The Y.M.C.A. Club pointed out, that cricket and tennis competitions would probably be in full swing by that time, ar|d one sport would be interfering with anothor. It was decided to request; the Y.M.C.A. Club to do He best to fall in with the association's arrangements. An application from the Glen Innes Club for permission to play Huntly-Thistle at Tamaki was granted subject to tho match taking place on October 10. A letter from the Tramurcwa Club, protesting strongly against tho referee's decisions in tho Falcon Cup match with Thistle at Blandford Park on Saturday, was merely received. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY.
