FALL OF GOODS LIFT.
MOTOR MECHANIC'S DEATH. DROP OF TWENTY FEET. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Henry George Nelson Haxell, a motor mechanic, aged 21 years, who was injured when a goods lift crashed at the premises of Dominion Motors on August 8, died this morning. He had driven a car on to the lift when the cables broke and tho lift dropped 20ft. to the bottom of the well. An inquest was opened and adjourned. "My son told mo he remembered driving the car on to the lift and nothing more," said Mr. Haxell's father.
