HAMILTON CLUB'S YEAR. DECREASE IN MEMBERSHIP. [from our own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Monday. "In submitting the following report of tho season's activities tho committee feels that the results aro not as satisfactory as were anticipated," states the 2Sth annual report of the Hamilton Rowing Club, which will be presented at tho annual meeting to-morrow evening. The list of members for the year, states the report, showed a decrease of 20, the total membership, active and honorary, being 69. Income from all sources totalled £l5B. as compared with £321 for the previous season a decline of £163. Tho expenditure was reduced from £315 to £221, but, tho los 9on the year's working was £63, as against £l6 for tho preceding season. It w;<s essential that during tho coming year only necessary expenditure r-hould be incurred. Tho club's plant was in excellent condition. In the interests of tho sport, the club was represented at every provincial regatta to which it was possible for crews to travel, although the successes gained were not as marked as in previous years. Crews from tho club (mined first place in the following events:—Wellington Regatta 'New Zealand championships): Senior fours. Hamilton Regatta: Maiden single sculls, senior fours, handicap single Ngaruawahia Regatta: Junior fours, Ngaruawahia Challencro Shield. Taurnnsra Regatta: Bay of Plenty fours. Tho following phies were awarded for club eventsEbor Cup, R. Morpeth: L. W. W. Brown Cup, R. Morpeth: C Morris Medal, W. A. Mitchell. ' The report expresses regret that the clubhouse was not in keeping with tho records of the club. The nucleus of a boathouse reserve fund had been established by a donation from Mr. F. Duffy and it was hoped that, this would be increased from time to time.
